Did you get that Proposal out yet?

Inline Image

Laptec, of Baton Rouge, provides electrical power system solutions.  Their proposal process used to take longer than a fortnight (I have been dying to use that word).  Not only did a custom, web-based portal help them "Go Green " by moving their paper-centric processes to a secure portal, but the turnaround time was cut dramatically.

"Getting proposals to our subcontractors used to take two weeks -- now it takes a day!" -Internal Quote Manager

7 Men, Unafraid of Committment

Yes, we are all already happily married, but we are looking for a long-term technology-centric relationship with you.  We want you to share your deepest problem related to your website, internal software, or process.  We'll start:  We are an Agile-driven team so we focus on

  • Individuals and interactions over process and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer Collaboration over contract negotiation and
  • Responding to change over following a plan

Your turn to share...

Divorce the spreadsheets!

Inline Image

While they are very useful in certain ways, spreadsheets are not something your business can run effectively on.  Is your business being side-tracked by an off-the-shelf software package?  Are you being forced to change who you are to fit the software you are using?  Say it isn't so!  Custom Software exists not to be resold to millions of people, but to fit your unique way of doing business. (Of course, we think web-based software is the best)

No matter how far you've gone down the wrong road, turn back.

That Turkish Proverb sounds like common sense but we don't always see it in the workplace.  Do you have a project that is going like this?  Perhaps you went too far down the wrong road or maybe your brother-in-law knew a college student who "knew computers" and helped you create a website, program, or something your business depends on.

We get this often.  A client brings us in to fix a software package or website that may have been built on a shaky foundation.  Do you have a software project that is just not what it could be?  Or do you feel like your software is not going to scale if your business grows?  Were you fooled into going on that "blind date?"  Turn back!
